These hilarious memes show exactly what Nigerians think about the impending lockdown lift in Lagos, Kano, and Ogun

At exactly 8 pm in Nigeria on Monday, 27 April 2020, President Muhammadu Buhari addressed Nigerians over the recent Coronavirus pandemic and its spread in the country.

In his statement, which started to spread on social media before his address began, he commended Nigerians for cooperating with the Government by staying at home during the lockdown in Lagos, Abuja, and Ogun State.

President Muhammadu Buhari also noted that the measures put in place by the Government in order to reduce the spread of the virus seem to be working as the number of imported cases in the country has gone down.

President Buhari also added that because of the economic implications of the lockdown, he would effect a gradual lift of the lockdown in Lagos, Abuja, and Ogun state. In addition to this, there will be a statewide curfew in these states from 8 pm to 6 am every day.

Nigerians took to social media to react to the address, making jokes out of the situation. Many of the jokes are about the curfew and people who are going to work after the lockdown is lifted.
