Cardiologist Bruno Caru has confirmed that Ivan Strinic ‘needs to rest for at least 3-4 months’ after being diagnosed with heart problems.

On Saturday Milan confirmed that the Croatian left-back had suffered an ‘initial hypertrophy of the cardiac muscle’.

Bruno Caru told Tuttsport: “To understand which type of hypertrophy affected Strinic, he needs to rest for at least 3-4 months,”

“A shorter period would not make sense, unless in the next four weeks the player isn’t subjected to more detailed specialist tests, which can prevent the most serious pathology of cardiac hypertrophy.”
