Nigeria’s affordable pay TV operator Star Times is on a quest to encourage local content production as it announces it’s first ever Pan Africa Online Film Festival (PAOFF), an online based award to encourage African local content creation.
According to the tv operator, “PAOFF aims to encourage young African producers making top-notch content in the local motion picture industry which will in turn support and promote the development of the film and music industry across Africa.“
Participation in the online festival is open to film and music producers who must upload their content on the StarTimes ON mobile app, a video streaming service of StarTimes.
