Some reports circulating says Nigerian singer Danny Young has dragged  Mavin Records’ act Tiwa Savage to court over copyright infringement claims.

Danny, who is accusing Tiwa savage of intellectual property theft following the release of her single titled One, is said to be seeking N200 in restitution.

In a video previously shared by the singer, he disclosed that the songstress had stolen content from his 2009 single, Oju Tiwon. Unfortunately, Danny Young received heavy backlash from Tiwa’s fans who called him an attention seeker.

Danny is reported to have enlisted the services of Creative Legal to help file the case (Suit No: FHC/L/CS/230/2019) since on 13 February 2019, but it is only now that the public is being made aware of it, according to premium Times.

One was produced by Killertunez and co-written by Wale Turner and Tiwa Savage and is available on music streaming platforms but not on YouTube, which yanked the song from its website following claims by the singer.

Legendary Nollywood actress Iya Rainbow plays Tiwa’s mom in the song’s video.
