Fela Kuti’s son, Seun Kuti is the only Nigerian to be announced on the list of performers at this year’s Coachella.
Seun Kuti will perform in California alongside his late father’s band, the Egypt 80. This is the first time the singer and his band will be performing at the two-weekend festival in California.
The singer took to his Instagram page to show his excitement at performing at the upcoming festival, writing:
“Coachella 2020 announced and We are going going back back to Cali Cali!!”
South African DJ Black Coffee is also included in the lineup alongside Koffee.

Headliners for the event are Travis Scott, Rage against the Machine and Frank Ocean. Other musicians on the list include 21 Savage, Calvin Harris, Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Nas X, City Girls, Big Sean, Charli XCX among others.
