The allegations are weighty as they contravene the Police Act.

Misau’s made his submissions on the floor of the Senate on Wednesday, according to The Cable. The senator further alleges that the IGP also married one of the female officers, Asta, a deputy superintendent of police (DSP). According to the Senator, Idris married Asta last month because she was four months pregnant with his child. He further alleged that the second police officer was named Amina and that the IGP unduly promoted her.

Meanwhile, the Bukola Saraki, president of the Senate, said an ad hoc committee would be set up to probe the allegations.
