Saweetie and Quavo in messy break up drama on Twitter

Saweetie has announced her break up with Quavo citing “cheating, betrayal and hurt” as her reasons. The “Icy Grl” singer went on her Twitter page to tell her over 1.5 million followers that she is now single.

I’m single. I’ve endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes for a false narrative to be circulating that degrades my character. Presents don’t band aid scars and the love isn’t real when the intimacy is given to other women.

The rapper made the declaration publicly to set the record straight about what happened between Quavo and her. She hinted that there have been ‘false narratives’ and also, ‘other women’.

She also added another tweet, saying:

I emotionally checked out a long time ago and have walked away with a deep sense of peace and freedom. Excited for this new chapter of elevation ??

Meanwhile, Quavious Keyate Marshall, known professionally as Quavo, also shared his own side of the story. According to him, Saweetie was not the woman he thought she was. He claimed that he still loved her and wished her the best but was disappointed in her.

While Quavo did not also mention her name, Saweetie quoted the tweet with a two-word reply, “Take care”. The tweets officially confirm the rumours of Saweetie and Quavo breaking up that has been making the rounds for a while now after they unfollowed each other on Instagram.

Both American rappers had begun dating in 2018 after Marshall slid into Harper’s (Saweetie’s real name) DM on Instagram. Their relationship was very much in the open with both of them giving car gifts to one another, posting them on social media and also fawning over their affection.

In a GQ interview in 2020, Quavo and Saweetie talked extensively about their love life. However, their relationship has now officially ended.
