The newspaper with a headline reading “Ronaldo sells everything in Spain,” claims that Ronaldo feels persecuted by Spanish tax authorities and wants to have no connection to them.
Ronaldo did something similar in 2009 when leaving manchester united selling his house for around €20 million, having initially acquired it for €4.5 million.
The former Madrid star will never be able to truly cut ties with Spain though, considering the small issue of his partner Georgina Rodríguez being Spanish and his children being born in Spain.
