The incident reportedly occurred in May around 4 AM, after a man approached YG and asked for a photo with him but was turned away by his crew, the dejected fan called YG a fake celebrity. In retaliation, YG yanked the chain and a diamond-laced pendant from his neck.
The alleged victim is suing the rapper for $250,000 claiming that his crew pounced on him before he took his jewellery valued somewhere between $3,000 and $9,000.
The 28-year-old rapper was charged with felony robbery and was released after posting a $20,000 bail.
