Rapper Travis Scott has sparked a controversy online following the release of his new album art.

On Tuesday, the 26 -year-old posted the album cover for the ‘Astroworld’ album depicting an X-rated amusement park with half-naked models.

Later, Amanda Lepore, a New York nightlife fixture and transgender star, who didn’t see herself on the cover the rapper posted, shared the original cover with her in it and wrote:  “It was great being part of @david_lachapelle’s incredible photograph of @travisscott’s album cover but I’m curious why I’m not on the picture @travisscott posted.”

David LaChapelle, the celebrity photographer who shot it later responded to Lepore’s questioning of why she wasn’t in Travis’s version, with him writing back, “because you were a bad bad girl lol it’s not for any other reason …..”

One user wrote on Twitter: “seeing huge artists like travis scott be openly transphobic is SO disappointing… we’ve made progress but we still have a long way to go.”
