American rapper Kodak Black has been released from jail in Broward County after spending seven months behind bars.

The hip-hop star got out on Saturday, August 18 2018, 2 months earlier than his originally scheduled October release.

Black, while in jail, legally changed his name to Bill K. Kapri and earned his high school equivalency diploma.

Black was arrested in January after an Instagram video showed weed close to his child. He was arrested and charged with child neglect, grand theft of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and marijuana possession.
