Aretha Franklin aged 76 is reportedly in deteriorating health condition at her home in Detroit after 8 years of battling with cancer.

The music icon started singing in a Baptist church as a little girl, where her father was a minister. She was named the greatest singer of all time by Rolling Stone Magazine. Aretha Franklin had a dazzling music career which includes classic songs like “You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman” and “I Say A Little Prayer.”

Aretha launched a secular music career at 18 when she signed with Atlantic Records, which was the beginning of her dazzling music career. Aretha Franklin’s powerful voice cemented her place in music history. She performed other timeless classics such as “Spanish Harlem”, “Chain of Fools”, “Think”, “Rocksteady” and “I Knew You Were Waiting”, a 1987 duet with George Michael. Aretha also made a memorable appearance in The Blues Brothers movies.

Aretha Franklin last performed in November 2017 for the Elton John’s AIDs Foundation concert in New York.  Her powerful voice and soulful tone singled her out as something special.
