Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are staying away from politics on their wedding day.
That directly translates to neither the Obamas who are friends of the Prince nor any political leader including the British prime minister, Theresa May, has been invited to the 19th May 2018 wedding. Add to that list the president of the United States, Donald Trump.
This news comes after speculation that Harry was not able to invite his friend, President Obama, because it would look like a slight to Trump.

And Harry’s been put in the spotlight about this in the past. When he guest-edited the BBC’s Today this past December, he was asked if he’d be inviting the Obamas for the big day in Windsor.

“I don’t know about that,” Harry had replied at the time.
This decision will hardly be seen as an insult to the Obamas, who have a close relationship with Harry. Reports say the Obamas and Harry are still on good terms and that Harry and Meghan are “very much looking forward to seeing them soon.”
