Pop Smoke‘s posthumous album, Shoot For The Moon, Aim For The Stars made its debut on top of the Billboard 100 chart when it was released three months ago.

On the chart dated 18 July, the album snapped up the number one position and spent 13 weeks in the top four positions of the list, until it made its return to the number one position this week.

It is the second album released in 2020 to have such a long wait between weeks spent on top of the chart.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units.

Pop Smoke was an American rapper, singer and songwriter. He was tragically shot in his home in Los Angeles after accidentally exposing his home address.

Shortly after his death, his manager, Steven Victor announced that his album would be released posthumously.

In April, it was announced that a documentary based on Pop Smoke’s life is in the works.

Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon was released in July 2020 and is Pop Smoke’s debut album.
