The single, which was released in late-January 2019, attained a triple-platinum award on 10 June 2019. The award confirms 3 million in US units; each unit is equal to one paid download or 150 streams. Middle Child reached number one at the urban and rhythmic radio formats. To date, Cole has acquired 12 platinum certifications: seven songs and five albums.
