A former president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, has sent condolences to Daniel Oyebanjo, aka D’banj, over the death of his son, Daniel III.

Obasanjo tweeted his condolence via a Twitter post stating “No parent should ever have to bury a chilchild.”

My heart and prayers are with Dapo and his family. No parent should ever have to bury a child. As a parent, it’s the worst thing imaginable. May God give you the fortitude to bear the loss, D’banj.”

D’banj’s fans and other celebrities also shared heartfelt condolences through their social media platforms.

Daniel who celebrated his 1st birthday last month was reported to have drowned in a swimming pool at the family’s Ikoyi residence.
