Aisha Abimbola’s death was confirmed by fellow actress, Bisola Badmus Adunni, who announced her death on her Instagram page.

Abimbola shot into limelight with her role in the Bola Igida’s movie, Omoge Campus. She was also popular for her roles in Papa Ajasco’s, No Pain, No Gain, Awerijaye, So Wrong So Right, T’omi T’eje and other movies.
She was a recipient of the 2017 City People Entertainment Award for Yoruba Movie Personality of the Year. Abimbola is survived by 2 children and husband, Victor Ibrahim who she married in February 2005.
