The latest for the Nigerian team is that the coach Gernot Rohr has said that his players are banned from eating goat meat pepper soup ahead of the Fifa 2018 world cup.

The Franco-German coach gave his reasons in a recent interview with Omasports TV:

“The reason is because nutritionist will tell you that too much spicy foods are not good for athletes. We have to observe what they tell us, and the medical team agreed that we cannot eat too much fat and too much spice”

In the interview, he adds: “For instance, there can be an exception on Sunday the night we will be here, there will be a little Austrian music, perhaps a little African food, from Madam ambassador so we will see.”

Although the Nigerian world cup jerseys have gained a lot of positive recognition worldwide, the team has lost all 3 matches in preparation for the world cup and will be hoping to perform much better at the actual competition.
