Court files reported an officer witnessed Petty drive through a stop sign at approximately 1:30 am. ET in Long Island last September.
Petty pleaded guilty to aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, requiring him to pay an $88 fine and clear his license.
This isn’t Petty’s first run-in with authorities.
The 40-year-old Queens native was convicted of first-degree attempted rape in April of 1995 and served roughly four years in a New York state prison. Prosecutors said Petty used a sharp object to force a then 16-year-old girl to have sex with him.
Once released, Petty was later convicted of first-degree manslaughter landing himself a seven-year sentence. He was released in 2013.
