Looks like Nicolas Cage wasn’t completely in total control of his mental faculty when he married his (ex?) girlfriend, Erika Koike, if reports by The Blast is anything to go by.
Cage and Eriko got hitched in Las Vegas the prior weekend and filed for an annulment just four days after.
Per Cage’s annulment documents, he and Erika Koike were “both drinking to the point of intoxication” before participating in a wedding ceremony, The Blast reports. A report that seems to be supported by a video, which shows the actor donning a Sid Vicious patch on the back of his black jacket making loud, bizarre accusations about his future ex-wife.
Before going in to get the marriage license, Cage started shouting Koike’s “boyfriend” is a drug dealer, then saying loudly that “he isn’t doing it” meaning he isn’t going through with the marriage ceremony. Liquor got the better of the Mandy actor and he did end up getting married that night in Vegas.
But well, he “lacked understanding” of his actions and was therefore incapable of agreeing to a marriage with the makeup artist, the annulment filing says. Cage now understands he “reacted on impulse without the ability to recognise or understand the full impact of his actions.”
