Toyin Oyekanmi, the producer of Silent scream and Visibility Zero, has released a Nonhlanhla Nxumalo-directed new film titled, The Cult.
The film tells the story of a lonely average high school girl Diepollo, who is bitter and insecure following the death of her father. Her mundane life takes an interesting turn when she meets a sorceress, Old Mamote who promises to help her in whatever way possible. Diepollo would also develop a relationship with the members of the church youth guild and this puts her in a dilemma on whether to sorcery or Christianity.
The Cult stars Phumi Maluleka, Toyin Oyekanmi, Nomsa Malaza, Norah Mmusi, Tumi Mashishi, Tabea Tselane and Mpilontle Mlangeni.
