Argentina goalkeeper Facundo Espindola was murdered in a street fight in Buenos Aires where the victim ended up with a slashed throat.
According to Marca reports, two men have now been detained in relation to the murder.
A fellow footballer, Nahuel Oviedo along with his Paraguayan friend in a white Peugeot 308 were arrested.

The car was reportedly covered in blood stains and the murder weapon was found 15 blocks from the scene of the incident.
In 2011, Oviedo reportedly received a three-year suspended sentence for his part in a robbery, for which he admitted guilt.
Oviedo had just returned from an injury to play for San Telmo in a friendly.
Espindola was a product of River Plate’s famed academy and made his debut with Club Almagro in 2013. He last played for Club Atletico Uruguay.
