Miley Cyrus has posted a lengthy statement on social media rubbishing reports that her less than eight-month marriage to Liam Hemsworth ended because she cheated on him.
A day after Liam filed for divorce, 26-year-old Miley tweeted length messages addressing the rumour. According to Miley Cyrus, why she may be many things – “a twerking, pot-smoking, foul-mouthed hillbilly” – what she’s not is a liar.
“What I cannot accept is that I’m lying to cover up a crime I have not committed… I can admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating,” writes the singer whose on and off relationship with Liam Hemsworth lasted over a decade.
Miley who chunked some of her past misdemeanours to growing up shenanigan also said she has grown as a person and was “committed” to Liam following their penultimate breakup and that she loved him and will always love him.
However, she has made “a healthy decision for myself to leave a previous life behind,” noting she’s “the healthiest and happiest” she has been “in a long time.”
