Mike Tyson confirms his return to the boxing ring, says it will be better

Retired boxing legend Mike Tyson has confirmed that he will be returning to the ring and he even boasts that it will be better this time.

15 years after Mike Tyson retired from boxing at the age of 39 as a legend, he returned. In 2020, after several months of rumours, the boxing icon stepped in the ring again.

The stage was set on 28 November 2020 when Tyson, 54, faced Roy Jones Jr. who was 51. Both of them had come out of retirement for the showdown and it was not a letdown. Despite ending in ‘an unofficial draw’, fans enjoyed all eight rounds of the fight.

Now, he has confirmed that he plans to continue boxing. On an Instagram Live interview with Patrick Mouratoglou, Mike Tyson said;

“We started Legends Only League and it’s really interesting. Once I announced that I was going to do my exhibition, everybody, all these other athletes all wanted to get involved in some way.

“Our first show was a record breaker. Now everybody’s interested in being involved with our whole organisation.”

It appears that Tyson will be facing only retired boxers coming out of retirement from here on out. But it will be by no means sub-par. After he agreed that the fight with Roy made him feel he also said he will still keep boxing.

There is only one thing that he wants fans to know, “it’ll be better this time,” Mike Tyson said.
