The documentary, which has been commissioned by Netflix, will follow Obama’s experiences after she released her memoir. On Monday, the former American first lady took to her Twitter page to excitedly announce the news. She wrote:
“I’m excited to share that on May 6, @Netflix will release BECOMING, a documentary directed by Nadia Hallgren that shares the stories of the amazing people I met after the release of my memoir. During this difficult time, I hope you’ll find some inspiration and joy in this film.”
Netflix has now shared a trailer of the upcoming documentary. This first look shows Michelle Obama in the first few days after her book was released.
