In a recent interview with 20/20’s Robin Roberts where she talked about her memoir, Becoming, Michelle mentioned that she smoked marijuana when she was young.
When asked why she didn’t leave that part of her life out of the book since she could have, she replied: “That’s what I did.”
Explaining why she mentioned her brief time experimenting with marijuana, she said: “That’s part of the becoming story. Everybody had something that they had to work through, something that they were figuring out.”
So, if you ever had a horrid past, fear not! Even Michelle Obama had a past she was not ashamed to document.
