The 2020 release tells the story of Harley Quinn before the assemblage of Suicide Squad, as she pulls together a team of superheroes including Huntress, Renee Montoya and Black Canary, and Cassandra Cain to go up against a villain who still remains unnamed, and maybe even before she became the first lady to the clown prince of crime, The Joker.
Birds of Prey starts shooting in 2019 and with the script written by Christina Hodson and directed by Cathy Yan the movie will be a fully female-centric motion picture all around.
Since the Harley Quinn solo outing will come some months after Joaquin Phoenix’s currently filming Joker movie, we can only hope that the Joker might make an epic cameo in Birds Of Prey.
