Man with world’s longest fingernails cut them after 66 years

Shridhar Chillal from Pune, India, who holds the Guinness World Record for the longest fingernails has cut them off.

Chillal, 82, had been growing the nails on his left hand since he was 14 years old. He started to grow his nails after a teacher told him off when he accidentally broke a long nail the teacher had grown

The nails are a combined length of 29ft 10.1in – about the same length as a London bus, and are now on display at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! museum in New York.
