An unidentified man reportedly lost three of his fingers following his (careless) handling of banger popularly known as knockouts.
Banger is a type of fireworks commonly used during the festive periods. The police have routinely advised the public against using it. And for good reasons too.
The story was shared online by a concerned Nigerian who said the man was receiving treatment for his injuries. They say they want to sensitise the public on the dangers of the use of the fireworks.
Sharing a graphic image of the injured fingers they write:
“That’s the effect of bangers. This guy lighted a banger ad it amputated his three fingers.
“My sister is treating the person. Just want to share it so others can benefit from it.
