By now, it is no longer news that American rapper, Nicki Minaj has welcomed her first child with her husband, Kenneth Petty.
The news was broken by several news houses, who reported that the rapper welcomed her baby in Los Angeles.
The gender of the baby is currently unknown. Nicki herself has not spoken publicly about her baby so the baby’s name is unknown as well.
However, the rapper’s mother, Carol Maraj has taken to Instagram to confirm the arrival of Nicki’s baby, her grandchild.
She took to the photosharing app on Friday, 2 October to celebrate her daughter’s bundle of joy.
She shared a fan artwork of Nicki cradling a baby to her chest.
“Thank you Lord for blessing my daughter, @nickiminaj with a beautiful bundle of joy,” Maraj wrote on Instagram.
She added: “You have always been a Blessing to myself and your family and now you have received one of the best Blessings from God.
“Children are a gift from the Lord. They are a reward from Him,” Pslams 127:3,’ she ended the post. ‘Let us rejoice!.”
