#Kitchen hack: How to get rid of odour in plastic containers

Plastic food containers frequently retain odours even after washing.

To remove such odours, put crumpled-up black-and-white newspaper inside to absorb odours. Then give containers a rinse before using again.

You can also use vinegar and baking soda. Pour a cup of white vinegar into a large bowl of water, then add 1\4  cup of baking soda, stir the baking soda into the vinegar until they are mixed, drop the plastic containers into solution.  Make sure the container is fully submerged for 24 – 48 hours. Once you bring out the container from the solution, wash it well before use.
