The news of the sequel was confirmed by a cast member, Toni Tones.
Toni made the reveal after a Twitter user Andy Obuoforibo @andyRoidO tweeted he would love to see a sequel to the film King of Boy, which is currently on Netflix.
“I wish the King Of Boys sequel would do like Godfather 2 and also contain a prequel with the rise of Eniola. I need 2 hours of @iamTONITONES,” writes Andy Obuoforibo.
Toni retweeted the tweet adding the information that a sequel in the form of a tv series has been commissioned.
“A prequel has been commissioned and it’s a series. So you’re about to get a lot more than two hours of young Eniola.”

King of Boys tells the story of Alhaja Eniola Salami (Sola Sobowale), a businesswoman and philanthropist whose questionable past is threatening her political ambitions.
The film opened in the cinemas to wide acclaim and has been acquired by Netflix, making it accessible to a wider audience.
“Can I say how GRATEFUL we are for the new wave ‘King of Boys. is getting?” tweets Kemi Adetiba who directed the film. She continues: “We’re SO overwhelmed by the responses. It might not be the most perfect film, but it was created perfectly out of strength, love and a true willingness to add to (and aid in) pushing this industry forward.”
