It is a sad time for Hollywood as popular American producer and television writer Ken Spears dies at the age of 82

Spears was popular for his active role as a co-creator of the much-loved Scooby-Doo cartoon.

BBC News reported that Ken Spears passed away after battling complications from Lewy body dementia.

The same media also reported that the producer’s death was confirmed by his son, Kevin, during a chat with Hollywood Reporter.

A post was also dedicated to Spears on the official Scooby-Doo page on Instagram.

The caption read: “Thank you, Ken Spears, for co-creating a classic animated series that continues to impact generations.”
