With a tour grossing over $1 million per night, Forbes has named Katy Perry as 2018’s highest-paid woman in music.

The business magazine estimates that Perry earned $83m (£64.7m) pretax from June 2017 to June 2018, rising from ninth place in 2017.

Singer Taylor Swift went up 1 spot this year, ranking second on the list with $80 million, with the launch of her new album, Reputation, which sold 2 million copies worldwide in its opening week.

Beyoncé who was first last year, dropped 2 spots to the third this year with $60 million.
