The Katsina senator, aged 63, reportedly died on Wednesday morning in Abuja, after a brief illness.His personal assistant, Ahmed Daura, posted the news of his principal’s death on his Facebook page early this morning.
His death comes barely a week after the death of a lawmaker representing Lokoja/Kogi/Koton Karfe in the House of Representatives, Umar Buba Jibril, died after a protracted illness.
The News Agency of Nigeria quotes Mr Bukar’s elder brother, Umar Bukar, as confirming the news.
