On Saturday, 13 October TeamKanyeDaily posted photos of Ye’s pop-up studio located in Uganda and a video which showed Kanye listening and dancing to songs from indigenous artists in the makeshift studio.
At the beginning of the month, Kanye revealed in an interview with TMZ that he will be coming to Africa to complete his soon-to-be-released 9th studio album, Yandhi.
“…We’re going to Africa in two weeks to record. I felt this energy when I was in Chicago. I felt the roots. We have to go to what is known as Africa,” he said in the interview.
With the way Kanye was vibing to Nigerian songs, a collaboration might be in the works. It is unconfirmed whether or not Kanye will make a stop in Nigerian.
