Museveni shared photos from his meeting with the American entertainers on his Twitter page, stating that they discussed the promotion of tourism and arts in the country. Museveni also divulged that Kanye gave him white sneakers.
The rapper has been in Uganda since last Friday to complete his 9th studio album, Yandhi, in Murchison game park.
“I welcome American entertainment stars Kanye West and @KimKardashian to Uganda. I held fruitful discussions with the duo on how to promote Uganda’s tourism and the arts. I thank Kanye for the gift of white sneakers. Enjoy your time in Uganda. It is the true Pearl of Africa,” Museveni tweeted.
Recall that this is not the first time Kanye West and his wife, Kim, will be meeting with the president of a country. Just last week, Kanye had a discussion with the president of the United States – Donald Trump. Kim had also met with Trump earlier in the year to discuss prison reforms with him.
