Jennifer Lopez will not only be performing at this year’s VMAs, she will be receiving the night’s highest honour.

On Tuesday, MTV confirmed J.Lo will be this year’s recipient of the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, as well as give her first live performance at the show since 2001. She’s also up for two awards for ‘Dinero.’

“Lopez is one of the most iconic and influential multi-hyphenates across music, film, television, fashion, business and philanthropy,” MTV said in a press release, citing her name alongside past Vanguard recipients Madonna, Guns N’ Roses, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Beyoncé, Kanye West, Rihanna, P!nk and the award’s namesake.

MTV is celebrating Lopez for “[transforming] the global music scene, including selling over 80 million records worldwide, 40 million albums, 16 top 10 hit songs, and three #1 albums,” striking it huge in both television and film, and her philanthropic work.
