For such a long time, rapper, J.Cole has been known as one of the most gifted rappers in recent times.

Now, it looks like he is branching out and to the most unlikely industry too – basketball. During an interview with TMZ, Master P revealed that J.Cole is currently training in order to join the NBA.

“When I talked to J. Cole, he was like, ‘You know, big dog you did it. What do you think I would have to do to make it happen?'” P, who made the pre-season squads for the Toronto Raptors and Charlotte Hornets in the late 1990s, said.

“To get one of these NBA jerseys, it’s not gonna be easy,” P said. “It’s gonna be a lot of hate, it’s gonna be a lot of people not believing in you but you know J. Cole, he got the right size, he in the gym.”

As if to give a clue to fans even before this, J.Cole was seen playing basketball during an ad for Cole and Puma’s new collaboration, a sneaker line called Dreamer.

In the 30-second commercial, Cole is playing basketball while Master P narrates in the background.
