There’s nothing more unwelcoming at an interview than an unexpected call on the interviewee’s phone.
While a ring to the desk phone of your interviewer may allow you to take a breath and collect yourself, yours will be unacceptable.
Don’t turn your phone off completely, you may find it comes in handy should you need to add a contact or appointment to your calendar. Instead, put it on silent.
