It’s true, many people don’t value what they have until they lose it!

Nigerian singer Olusegun Olowokere, better known as Iceberg Slim, seems to fall under that category judging from the public apology he tendered to his ex-girlfriend, the Ghanian actress Juliet Ibrahim who has since moved. And who recently launched a memoir, A Toast To Life, which chronicles her life experiences so far. Something that was not lost to Olusegun Olowokere, who notes in a very recent public apology he tendered to Juliet on Instagram:

Despite the pain and heartache I’ve caused you, somehow, you still found a way to rise and smile.”

On Tuesday, 13th August 2019, Iceberg Slim tendered an apology to Juliet Ibrahim stating the reasons for their breakup last year. In the post, the singer admits he cheated on Juliet and lied to her.

He says he took her love for granted and “brought ridicule and shame” to her. And he apologises for hurts that he caused her doing their time as a couple.

From the bottom of my heart, I apologise,” writes Iceberg Slim who dated Juliet Ibrahim from 2016 until their relationship broke down sometime in June 2018 or thereabout.

Iceberg Slim also explains he decided to publicly apologise as he seeks healing. His words:

In life, sometimes you have to reveal, in order to heal,” writes he. “And as I’ve revealed the true reasons for our breakup, healing comes next.

As we continue on our separate paths, I pray for God’s continued guidance,” adds the singer followed with a prayer emoji.

Iceberg Slim’s tune is quite different from the position he took when the news of the breakdown of his relationship with Juliet Ibrahim first hit the internet.

At the time, he posted a cryptic message in which he called Juliet Ibrahim “toxic” and controlling.

When a toxic person can no longer control you, they’ll try to control how others see you,” he said. “The Misinformation will feel unfair, but stay above it, trusting that other people will see the truth, just like you did.

We guess, he doesn’t think so any more. Hindsight is indeed 20/20.
