I don’t regret leaving Nollywood - former beauty queen and actress Regina Askia

After her relocation to the United State of America, the ex-beauty queen and actress lost her place in Nollywood and later became a nurse.

In a question and answer session on Instagram, Regina Askia stated that she does not regret her hiatus from acting, The 51-year-old mother said she is fulfilled and contented with a real career that feeds her body and soul.

Askia is currently based in American where she is a family nurse practitioner, healthcare and educational activist as well as a television producer, writer and public speaker.

After gaining public recognition in Nigeria as a beauty pageant winner, Askia-Williams began a modelling and acting career. As a model, Askia appeared in several Nigerian print and television commercials including Kessingsheen Hair Care, boutique chain collectibles, and most famously, Visine. She also worked on several runway shows.
