The list for the performers at the 2019 edition of Coachella was recently released with Burna Boy and Mr Eazi named on the list.

One would think Burna Boy would have been happy to have made the list but apparently, the Nigerian artist was not. The singer, who was clearly dissatisfied with the arrangement, took to social media to explain.

Sharing his thoughts on his Instagram Stories, he expressed appreciation for having been included in the lineup for this year’s event but also took exception that his name was written in small prints.

“@coachella I really appreciate you,” he stated “but I don’t appreciate the way my name is written so small in your bill. I am an AFRICAN GIANT and will not be reduced to whatever that tiny writing means. Fix tings quick please.”

It might be well noting that Burna Boy’s name wasn’t the only one written in small print. However, the artist has since deleted the post.

The arrangement is a tradition of the festival’s. The names of performing artists are arranged beginning from the headliners and followed by the other performance. According to their Wikipedia page, it is arranged according to the order of prominence. If that were the case, perhaps the Gbona singer’s reaction was a bit over the top?
