Here's everything that happened at singer, 9ice's 40th birthday party [photos+videos]

Singer, 9ice turned 40 on Friday, 17 January and shared some gorgeous pictures to celebrate the event.

However, the newly married singer also got a surprise birthday party from his wife, Olasunkanmi. Family and friends, including Tiwa Savage and Gbenga Adeyinka, honoured him at the event.

He was so excited about the party that he took to his Instagram page to share clips from the event.

“Una get me!” he captioned one of them.

9ice joined the entertainment industry in 2000 after which he worked his way up to become a household name. He released his first album, titled Certificate in 2007. He sealed his place at the top with Gongo Aso in 2008.

He won Best Hip Hop Artist at the MTV Africa Music Awards. He cites music icons like Ebenezer Obey, King Sunny Ade, the late Alhaji Haruna Ishola as his musical inspirations.

He is currently the founder and CEO of Alapomeji Records, and has released several albums under the label.
