Here are all the Game of Thrones facts we think you should know

All we’ve been getting are snippets and teasers from the cast, like this one and this one. We’ve now gathered all the facts we know about Game of Thrones season 8 because 2019 is almost upon us.

1. There’s no definite date for the last season yet but HBO released and official statement confirming that season eight of Game of Thrones will definitely be released in 2019.

2. Season eight will have only six episodes and will have the least number of episodes out of all the seasons. Nonetheless, each episode will be long, as long as eighty minutes and some episodes will even be feature length instalments.

3. Many fan favorites will return for the final episode but its anyone’s guess who will stay until the very last episode. Guessing by the actor’s salaries, we can say that Peter Dinklage (Tyrion), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime), Lena Headey (Cersei), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys) and Kit Harington (Jon Snow) should be coming back as they were all being paid $500,000 per episode.

Other cast members who are returning include Liam Cunningham (Sir Davos), Sophie Turner (Sansa), Maisie Williams (Arya), Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei) and Gwendoline Christie (Brienne). Also, Jon Snow’s dire wolf has a fair amount of screen time too, according to visual effects supervisor Joe Bauer.

4. Many fans think season eight will unveil lots of secrets. Examples being that Bran will turn out to be the Night King and Daenerys will have to give herself up to end the war. Among the speculations is the fact that Tyrion could end up sitting on the Iron Throne.
