Eden Hazard believes his Chelsea teammate would be a plus to keep at Stamford Bridge this season.
Loftus-cheek was away on loan to Crystal Palace but still managed to impress and secure a spot in the English national team.
When speaking about the 22-year-old Hazard told the London Evening Standard:
“He is still young, of course, but I think if we can have him in the team this season it’s a plus for everyone.
“I know his quality. He is young, he is powerful. The future will be top for him.”
The young midfielder also complained that he had felt a “lack of faith” from Antonio Conte:
“I want to play as much as I can,” he said.
“Even this past season I didn’t play as much as I would have liked to because of the injuries. So I still feel I need a proper season of playing.
“I do understand Chelsea is a big club and there is always pressure on managers to win games and trophies.
“We’ll see what happens. I’m confident in my ability and that I can do well, wherever it is.”
