Google celebrated the 55th posthumous birthday of former Nigerian footballer, Samuel Okwaraji, with a doodle.

The tech giants marked the occasion with the specially themed display of a doodle celebrating the deceased football star who slumped and died at the age of 25 in the 77th minute of a World Cup qualification match against Angola at the Lagos National Stadium on 12 August 1989.

The cause of his death was later discovered to be congestive heart failure.
