Did you know that Tiwa Savage‘s banging new track, 49-99, was co-written by Olamide? Well, now you do.

The singer, who recently signed a juicy new deal, was a guest on GENIUS where she broke down her new track.

The song, which she dropped on the 5th of September was produced by Pheelz and references a line from Fela Kuti’s 1978’s Shuffering and Shmiling.

During her appearance on GENIUS, Tiwa Savage breaks down the song. She explains that the song “reflects the hard life many Nigerians go through”.

She goes on to mention that “a transit bus serves as a case study. It ought to have only 49 seated passengers, however, due to poor economic conditions, we often have nearly twice that number of passengers standing (99).”
