Geoffrey Owens has spoken up after he was job-shamed for going from an actor to bagging groceries at a store.

In an interview with Time magazine, Geoffrey said he believes the news about him bagging groceries will pass soon but what he wants to remain for a long time is the current sensitivity that people are feeling about work. He said he hopes that people will understand that no job is superior to the other and there’s dignity in labour, irrespective of how much it pays.

The actor wore his Trader Joe’s name tag on his chest during the interview to show that he is proud of the job he does.
