Five Tips to be Early.

Are you always running late? Below are five suggestions to help you meet up and stop appearing like an unserious person.

1. Prepare Your Clothes The Previous Day.

This is the reason Mark Zuckerberg dresses in monochrome modes, to save time. The time taken to pick clothes to wear eats more of our morning time than we will care to admit (this is applicable to both sexes) and to save time, use the previous day to set out the clothes for the next morning.

2. Set an alarm.

Even when you are awake an alarm is very useful as t serves as a reminder that there is a place to leave for, avoid the urge to snooze. After anything you hold sacred, obey your alarms next.

3. Add Some Time To Preparation Time.

You cannot accurately deduce the amount of time it will take to dress up and worse, get to a location. Traffic jams can come out of nowhere and surprise you, so, add some minutes (15-30) to the allotted time for getting to a meeting.

4. Leave Early.

Discard the myth of getting to the location on time, there is nothing like that. You either get there late or early. Better if you are ahead of time and you hang around until you can appear (not arrive) on time.

5. Do Not Engage In Your Favorite Activity.

The worst choice you can make before leaving for a meeting is ‘let me quickly (insert your favorite activity)’. You will most likely end up saying ‘just five more minutes’, ‘just the last track’, and you end up running late. Leave that activity for when you return.

But remember, even when you are running late, call ahead and say you will still show up. Never cancel because you are late, showing up is half of the success of a meeting.
